The kitchen is the area where you spend much of your time. You might already know of the importance of properly cleaning the kitchen area, and might have even hired professionals to do the tough job of cleaning. However, if your kitchen is organized well, it can avoid much congestion and allow you to work easily. You do not necessarily need to buy any expensive things to organize your kitchen either; it can be done very easily with what you already have. Given below are some tips to organize the kitchen space so that cleaning becomes easy.
You might have cake stands in your kitchen; if so, you can use them as a stand to hold salt, pepper, olive oil, and other seasonings that you use frequently. In addition, you will even have base space free, where you can arrange more spices and herbs. It will be very easy for you to find these ingredients while cooking.
There is no need of any expensive organizer as long as you got some S-hooks and a handrail. Though a towel holder can do the job of holding the pans, handrails are more effective, because they can withstand more weight. If you do not have a handrail, you can buy one of 12 to 32 inches size from any hardware shop.
You might have many metal baskets that once you used for groceries and milk bottles. If it is in good condition, you can collect them all and use as an efficient storage space for storing things like cleaning towels, bottles, plastic cups, and any other utensils or things, which you do not use that often.
Instead of keeping small things on a big shelf having fewer compartments, you can use a serving tray as a divider and have more shelf space. You can select trays that are as wide as the depth of the cupboard and use nonskid shelf liner so that the trays stay fit and the glasses do not move away from the place.
Steamer Storage Bin
If you got a bamboo steamer, do not let it stay put until the next use. Due to the presence of holes in it, it is a good storage option for storing garlic, shallots, and onions that require ventilation. You can either store all the ingredients in one container, or use separate containers for different items. No matter what, make sure to keep the steamer above a tray so that the skin flakes do not fall all over the place.
