The holidays are a time for cleaning and shaping up your home. You need to get it ready for a horde of guests and family, and that means cleaning everything, from top to bottom, and side to side. That is the only way to make sure the whole place is healthy.
Cleaning The Bathrooms
This needs to be cleaned intensively if you want them to impress whoever is coming to visit. Keep the supplies in each bathroom, or carry them around in a bucket while moving through the house. You will need bathroom cleaner, spray bleach cleaner, window cleaner, toilet bowl cleaner, toilet brush, sponge, microfiber cloths, drying cloths, paper towels and trash bags. When you have those at hand, here is how to proceed:
Pick up anything that is on the floor – laundry baskets, trashcans, rugs, etc., and put it outside the room. If there is a master closet, vacuum it.
Vacuum the floors with a canister vacuum. Do the corners as well after taking off the head from hose. Keep the cleaner away from the wet areas. If the tub is dry, vacuum there for any fallen hair.
Clean the mirror, using the microfiber cloth. Make sure there is no direct light falling on the surface when you do this, because that can heat the mirror. If there is any dust or fibers remaining afterwards, wipe this away with a paper towel or coffee filter.
Spray cleaner in the shower, tub, and sinks; and in the toilet as well. Take out the bottles, puffs, and other items from these places, and liberally spray bathroom cleaner. Bleach cleaner is good too.
Mop up the water.
Clean the toilet by brushing inside and under the rim, then scrubbing the bowl. After that, wipe the whole toilet with paper towels from the tank all the way to the bolts. Do not flush the paper towels.
The counters and sink need to be scrubbed too, so gather the combs, brushes, toothpaste, and whatnot, and put it out of the way. A scrub sponge is best for this sort of thing, but if that doesn’t fit, you can use a cloth instead. Wipe the counter dry afterwards.
The shower needs to be scrubbed with a sponge. After this, clean out the hair stuck in the drain. Squeegee it down, and then wipe dry with a cloth.
That was on cleaning your bathroom top to bottom, so people who visit will know you are serious about cleanliness. Hang on to that and you will reap great benefits in long run.
